Arrival Procedures
  • The school day at Glen Oaks Park begins promptly at 8:25 a.m. and ends at 3:25 p.m. Students can not be on campus BEFORE 8:00 a.m. because there is no adult supervision.
  • All students must enter by the cafeteria. 
  • Students can go to the cafeteria for a free and nutritious breakfast.
  • Breakfast is served from 8:00 AM to 8:15 AM.
  • Students in grades 1-5 will report to the auditorium.
  • Kindergarten students will immediately report to classroom in the quad building.
  • Pre-Kindergarten students will go directly to their classrooms and the FEMA A/B building (rooms 128/129) at the back of the campus using the back door by the cafeteria. 
  • Instruction begins promptly at 8:25. 
  • Any students arriving to class after 8:25 will be considered tardy and will need to stop at the office to check in.The student will receive a ticket that they must present to their teacher before they enter the classroom.

 

Check Out Procedures
  • A vaild driver's license is required for all check-outs
  • Children will also have to sign the check-out book in classroom before they are released to the parent or guardian.
  • NO chekckouts after 2:30 p.m.
Visitors

All visitors must:

  • Sign in using the School Check In/ Check Out computer in the reception area.
  • Go to the school office before going to a classroom for any reason.
  • Give your valid ID or Driver's License to the secretary or school clerk and state your purpose for the visit.
  • You must wear a YELLOW visitor's pass at all times.
  • An office personnel will direct you or accompany you to the designated area.

*This is necessary for your child's safety, school security, and a policy of EBRP School Board and Glen Oaks Park Elementary

Lunch Procedures
  • The full price for lunch is $2.00
  • Reduced price lunch is .40
  • Teachers are to walk their students to the cafeteria at their designated times. 
  • Students are to walk quietly and quickly through the lunch line; washing and drying hands.
  • Students can purchase snacks and extra milk for a fee.

Glen Oaks Park Elementary had its first P.T.O meeting of the 2009-2010 school year on September 8, 2009.  Parents and teachers had the opportunity to voice their opinions on various issues in a positive manner. Please join us for our next P.T.O check back at a later for date for information about our next meeting.
